The Effect of Learning Management Using Board Games on The Achievement in Mathematics in the Subject of Integers of Grade 7 Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this research was 1) to study the development of academic achievement in mathematics focusing on the Integers unit for grade 7 students through learning management using board games, and 2) to study the level of satisfaction towards using board game as a learning media in the mathematics focusing on the Integers unit for grade 7 students. The target group consisted of 14 grade 7 students of Lertpattana Suksa School. The research tools used included a lesson plan, the "Adventure in the Land of Numbers" board game, achievement tests, and satisfaction questionnaires. The data was analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and relative development scores.
The research findings showed that: 1) the students who learned through the board game had an average pre-test score of 16.21 and a post-test score of 24.00, with an average relative development score of 56.48 percent, which was in the high development criteria and 2) the students expressed a high level of satisfaction with the use of the board game as a learning tool for the mathematics focusing on the Integers unit (m = 3.91, s = 0.63).
