The Effects of Learning Experiences Using Y8 Games on the Development of Fundamental Movement Skills in Football and Social Behavior of Kindergarten 3 Children

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) compare the fundamental movement skills      in playing football among early childhood children before and after participating in learning experiences through Y8 games, and 2) compare the social behaviors of early childhood children preschool children before and after participating in learning experiences through Y8 games. The sample group consisted of 32 early childhood children in kindergarten 3, class 1 from Sarasas Witaed Nongkhaem School, selected through cluster sampling. The research instruments included: 1) an outdoor activity learning experience plan using Y8 games, 2) a fundamental movement skills assessment form, and 3) a social behavior assessment form. The statistical methods used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test.

The results showed that: early childhood children who received the learning experience through playing Y8 games had basic movement skills in playing football. After the experience, the mean score of basic movement skills increased from 12.5 to 17.8 and social behavior increased from 14.3 to 19.2 with statistical significance (p < .05).
