The Learning Outcomes of English Vocabulary through Skill Enhancement Exercises on Homophones of Students in Grades 2 Wat Sai Yai School (Nonthathiwakornratbamrung)

Abstract
This research aimed to study were: (1) to examine the learning outcomes of English vocabulary acquisition through skill-enhancing homophone exercises among second-grade students, and (2) to assess the students' satisfaction with learning English vocabulary using these exercises.
The sample consisted of 40 second-grade students (Class 2/4) from Wat Sai Yai School (Nonthathiwakornratbamrung), selected through a purposive sampling method. The research instruments included: (1) English vocabulary reinforcement exercises, (2) a proficiency test, and (3) a satisfaction survey. The statistical methods used for data analysis were mean, percentage, and standard deviation.
The research findings revealed that: (1) students who engaged in skill-enhancing homophone exercises demonstrated an improvement in English vocabulary learning, with post-test scores averaging 2.91 points higher than their pre-test scores. All students showed increased scores, with a percentage gain of 60.49%. (2) Students' overall satisfaction with learning English vocabulary through skill-enhancing homophone exercises was at a high level (Mean = 4.23, S.D. = 1.62)
