Abstract

This research aimed to study the satisfaction of first-year students toward the care and the creation of a warm and joyful learning atmosphere in the Industrial Engineering program. A questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument, and data were analyzed using mean ( ) and standard deviation (S.D.). The results revealed that the overall student satisfaction was at a very high level (  = 4.69, S.D. = 0.624). The highest-rated aspect was the happiness in studying and the overall sense of belonging to the program (  = 4.88, S.D. = 0.621). In contrast, the lowest-rated aspects were the appropriateness of instructional approaches (  = 4.61, S.D. = 0.683) and the atmosphere in online classrooms (  = 4.61, S.D. = 0.689). Additional comments from students suggested the need to adjust homework timeframes, reduce workload, enhance basic learning activities, provide recorded teaching materials, and organize review sessions before examinations. Addressing these suggestions could contribute to a more effective learning environment. However, instructional adjustments should be implemented with caution to maintain a balance between student satisfaction and the quality of academic achievement.
