Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare the basic handball skills of Grade 7 students between those who received collaborative learning through the Teams-Games-Tournament (TGT) technique and those who received regular instruction, and 2) to investigate the satisfaction of Grade 7 students with collaborative learning through Teams-Games-Tournament activities. The sample consisted of 66 Grade 7 students at Wat Ratchabut School, divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 33 students in each group. The research instruments included: 1) a lesson plan for collaborative learning using the TGT technique, 2) a lesson plan for regular instruction, 3) a basic handball skills evaluation form, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistical methods used for data analysis were the independent samples t-test, mean, and standard deviation.
The findings revealed that: 1) there was a statistically significant difference at the .05 level in basic handball skills between students who received collaborative learning through the Teams-Games-Tournament (TGT) technique and those who received regular instruction, and 2) students reported a very high level of satisfaction with collaborative learning through the TGT technique (Mean = 3.53, S.D. = 0.66).
